Shirt Exchange

Have you ever noticed someone walking past you at a big tournament with a beautiful shirt that you’ve never seen before? Maybe it was one of Pete Tyson's University of Texas shirts with the iconic longhorns on the back, or a black Kauai shirt with the six-handed crab (ok, it could be a spider; Hawaii has nifty insects) in yellow and red. Maybe you coveted a brightly colored Irish 'county' shirt, and said, "Wow! I'd love to have a shirt like that!"

Well, you may get your chance at the Waterford Crystal 2009 World Handball Championships.

We’ll host a 'Shirt Exchange' daily beginning Saturday, October 3rd at the MAC in the gallery overlooking Courts 1–4. Hours will be 1 p.m.–3 p.m.

Items brought in for the exchange will be segregated by style and quality and placed in one of four bins:

  • Bin #1: Used items (must be clean)
  • Bin #2: New T-shirts/tank tops/long sleeve
  • Bin #3: New collared shirts
  • Bin #4: Exceptional items (foreign shirts, warm up jackets, etc.)

The individual will then be able to take a shirt from the same bin.

Shirts from around the world will be available for trade. This is your opportunity to take home a shirt from Japan, Canada, Ireland or even Eugene, Oregon (they have GREAT shirts!). Don't miss out! Bring several shirts to the exchange.

See you in Portland in October!
